Bangalorean wins French contest

Maleva Robert, a student of the Alliance Française de Bangalore, and a copywriter with JWT, has won the first prize at a national level blurb-writing competition in French organized by the Institut Français, the cultural department of the French Embassy in India.

Maleva (23) had participated in a blurb-writing workshop at the Alliance Française conducted by the Director of Courses Alexandra Dourver after which she decided to participate in the contest. She has won a two-week all expense paid language training course in France.
She says that her blurb was about embracing one’s own complexities without being too hard on oneself.

Maleva says that she never expected to receive the first prize and was pleasantly surprised when she received a mail informing her of the same. An ex-student of Mt. Carmel College, she studied Communication, French and History and loves French cuisine. She says that she loves the imagery that the French language offers and finds it very descriptive.

The competition was organized to celebrate International Francophonie week from 15th to 23rd March.
