New Delhi, 19 September 2016

The Conference on Waste Management, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on 19th September 2016 in Delhi, accorded a very special place to France, which along with China, was invited to present its experience in this matter.

During the keynote address, JM Fennet, Head - Economic Services for India and South Asia, Embassy of France in India, gave an overview of the expertise and know-how used by three emblematic French companies: Veolia, Suez Environnement, and Mailhem Ikos Environnement. Also present at the conference were the internationally well-known French groups, Engie and Egis.

Given their track record and experience in India, these companies – all members of the French Smart Cities Club launched in July 2016, which today brings together 57 French firms – have declared themselves ready to participate in forthcoming PPP bids in the waste management sector.
