- Prof. Philippe Sansonetti launched the cycle of conferences on the occasion of a Science Café with the press on 12 January 2015 at the Centre for Social Sciences and Humanities
Prof. Philippe Sansonetti, world-renowned Professor at the Pasteur Institute and specialist in the field of microbiology, visited Delhi on 12 and 13 January 2015 to launch the first ever cycle of lectures in India by Professors of the prestigious Collège de France on the occasion of a Science Café with the press.
From 2015 to 2017, four Professors from the Collège de France, the oldest and highest academic institution in France, will deliver lectures in renowned universities, institutes and laboratories all across India. This initiative – launched by the Collège de France, the French Embassy in India (Service for Science and Technology) and the Centre for Social Sciences and Humanities – intends to spread scientific knowledge and culture, as well as share views on activities from fundamental research to social sciences and humanities.
From 12 to 16 January 2015, Prof. Sansonetti will visit the country (Delhi, Kolkata, and Bangalore) to give lectures, visit institutes and meet colleagues in order to discuss the emergence of new collaborative projects between France and India in the scientific field.
