Davis Cup 2014 in Bangalore

The Davis Cup World Group play-off ties and Semi-Final took place at Karnataka State Law Tennis Association’s courts in Bangalore Park from September 12 to 15. India played against Serbia.

Friday (Singles): Yuki Bhambri vs Dusan Lajovic followed by Somdev Devvarman vs Filip Krajinovic.

Saturday (Doubles): Leander Paes/Rohan Bopanna vs Nenad Zimonjic / Ilija Bozoljac

Sunday (Reverse singles): Somdev Devvarman vs Dusan Lajovic, followed by Yuki Bhambri vs Filip Krajinovic.

The Indian team played very well however the score at the end of the play-off ties stood at Serbia 3 and India 2.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) announced the latest results for the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas: France - and the winner of the other semifinal Switzerland - will contest the 2014 World Group Final on 21-23 November.
