The new Ambassador of France to India, Mr. François Richier, presents his Letters of Credence to the President of India, H.E. Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

H.E. Mr François RICHIER, the French Ambassador to India presented his Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic of India, H.E. Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Tuesday, November 1st , 2011, at 11 a.m.

On this occasion, he reaffirmed the historical ties of friendship and mutual respect between India and France, and the determination of the French authorities to deepen and expand the strategic partnership between the two countries. He also presented the warmest regards of H.E. President Nicolas Sarkozy to H.E. Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil.

After presenting his Credentials, he visited Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial at Rajghat, to pay tribute to the Mahatma’s memory and message of peace, which carries universal appeal.
