MECAMIDI confirms setting up office in India

The French group MECAMIDI, which designs and manufactures low and medium hydropower plants, has confirmed that it will set up office in India, following its joint venture with the Indian company HPP. MECAMIDI HPP is now ranked as number three in the mini hydropower sector in India.

MECAMIDI is a French company that was founded in 1860 and is based in Toulouse. It has two industrial units and an engineering centre in France. Export-oriented since the past fifteen years, it also has subsidiaries in Italy, Bulgaria, Turkey and Brazil, and has worked in more than sixty countries.
