Presentation of the first report by the International Renewable Energy Agency

The International Renewable Energy Agency published its first report yesterday in Abu Dhabi entitled “Rethinking energy,” which analyses developments in the energy mix in the electricity sector and the opportunities associated with renewable energy. It makes an important contribution to the international community’s reflections on energy issues, in particular in preparation for the 2015 Paris Climate Conference.

The presentation of the report at the Senate will be led by Adnan Amin, Director-General of IRENA, Ronan Dantec, Senator for Loire-Atlantique, Marie-Hélène Aubert, Adviser to the President of France on international negotiations on climate and environment, Jean-Louis Bal, Chairman of the Renewable Energies Association, and Jean Jouzel, Climatologist and member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
